The major stakeholders of Kaduna State New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP) have called on Senator Suleman Uthman Hunkuyi to dump the party.
They made the call in a statement in the wake of the sudden dissolution of the ward, local Government, and State Executive Committees of the NNPP in Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara, Niger, Rivers, and Enugu States by the National Working Committee.
In the statement signed by one Major Yahaya Shinku,( rtd.) and released to Newsmen on Saturday in Kaduna, the NNPP members said Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi is their leader in Kaduna and Should withdraw his membership of the party for the benefit of all in the politics of Kaduna State.
“We appointed a 9-man committee to reach out to the NNPP leader in Kaduna State Distinguished Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyl to inform him of our collective decision on this feat and urge him to also withdraw his membership from the party, to make the way forward for benefit of all of us in the politics of Kaduna State”.
According to the NNPP’s concerned Major Stakeholders, the dissolution of the ward, local, and State Executives in Kaduna state based on alleged anti-party Activities and without a fair hearing is irrational.
“The sudden dissolution of the Ward, Local Government, and State Executive Committees of the NNPP of Enugu, Ekiti, Kaduna, Katsina, Niger, Rivers, and Zamfara States by the National Working Committee of the Party on Friday 28th July 2023 only came to our knowledge through social media”.
“It is not done anywhere to accuse someone and pass judgment with giving him//her opportunity to defend self is selfish and the anti-party charges should have started with NNPP presidential candidate”.
The former NNPP Chairmen of Igabi and Makarfi local government Areas have vowed to approach the court for the failure of the party to pay party agents for the Presidential and National Assembly Election after it received all payments for forms sills to candidates in the state.
The NNPP members therefore called on party supporters in Kaduna to remain calm and Wait for further information on the way forward soonest.
