The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, Hon. Rufus Bature, has expressed his profound appreciation to party supporters and key stakeholders who attended the recent reconciliatory meeting in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

In a press statement issued on June 29, 2024, from the APC's Kalwa House headquarters on Yakubu Gowon Way, Hon. Bature highlighted the significant success of the meeting, underscoring the frank and brotherly conversations that took place. He noted that the positive outcome was a clear indication of the party's unity and commitment to moving forward, despite the skepticism of some detractors.

"The outcome of the meeting is very reassuring and fulfilling in many ways, because cynics and some doubting Thomases had thought that the meeting would be deadlocked," Bature stated. He commended the Chairman of the Reconciliatory Committee, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Maje, and other committee members for their exceptional work in ensuring the meeting's success.

Hon. Bature believes that the meeting marks the beginning of a rejuvenation and recalibration of the APC in Plateau State. He also took the opportunity to laud the unwavering support and loyalty of the party's supporters during challenging times.

The reconciliatory meeting saw the attendance of several prominent party figures, including Senator Hezekiah Dimka, Professors Garba Sharubutu and Danladi Artu, Hon. Ishaya Lalu, Ambassador Ibrahim Kasai, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, Alhaji Isa Ajiji, who was represented by the Majority Leader, Hon. Joe Bukar.

In conclusion, the statement signed by Shittu Bamaiyi, the Acting Publicity Secretary of the APC Plateau State Chapter, emphasized the party's collective commitment to unity and progress as they look forward to future successes.
