Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, PhD, OON, member representing Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, has distributed over 400 rams and N20 million in cash donations to Muslim constituents in his constituency, as a gesture of goodwill and generosity.
The distribution, which took place on June 13, 2024, is an annual tradition by the lawmaker to support his constituents during festive periods.
This year's gesture is particularly significant, given the current economic challenges that have led to a surge in food prices, making it difficult for many households to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabr without financial strain.
Beneficiaries of the lawmaker's gesture included traditional rulers, party officials, youths, support groups, and religious leaders from Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam local government areas.
They expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the intervention, which they said would go a long way in making their celebration more meaningful.
