The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has commenced a training program on tax audit, investigation, compliance, and enforcement for tax officers in the North-West region. The event, held in Kaduna, aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of tax administrators in the region.


In his opening remarks, the Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, emphasized the importance of tax audit and investigation in ensuring compliance, transparency, and revenue generation for the state and nation. 

He commended the Joint Tax Board for their dedication to improving tax administration through continuous learning and capacity building.

Adams encouraged participants to engage fully in the training, share experiences, and adopt best practices in tax audit and investigation. He also stressed the need for collaboration and synergy among tax authorities in the region to overcome common challenges and achieve collective goals.

The training program is expected to equip tax officers with the necessary skills and tools to perform their duties efficiently and effectively. It is also a testament to the commitment of KADIRS to professional development and excellence in tax administration.

The event has brought together tax experts and officers from various states in the North-West region, including Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara. The training is expected to run for 3 days, covering topics such as tax audit, investigation, compliance, and enforcement.
