Northern Awareness Network (NAN) Condemns Dalung's Incendiary Comments

The Northern Awareness Network (NAN) has strongly denounced the recent inflammatory remarks made by former Minister Solomon Dalung against the current administration of President Bola Tinubu. Dalung's comments, which advocate for violent protests and civil disobedience, pose a serious threat to national stability and unity.

As a former government official, Dalung has a responsibility to uphold integrity and respect for the rule of law. However, his recent statements suggest a failure to meet this obligation. By encouraging youth to engage in violent acts, Dalung is betraying the public's trust and jeopardizing lives and futures.

NAN Chairman Salifu Suleiman emphasized that Dalung's platform as a public figure can influence and shape young minds. His words carry weight and can incite actions with far-reaching consequences. Dalung must exercise caution and responsibility in his speech, especially when it comes to violence and conflict.

Encouraging violence goes against the principles of integrity and respect for the rule of law, undermining a just and orderly society. The consequences of such actions are catastrophic, leading to chaos, destruction, and loss of life.

NAN believes Dalung's actions are irresponsible and dangerous, sowing division and conflict among youth. His allegations of incompetence and ineptitude against President Tinubu are baseless and unsubstantiated.

The group calls for peaceful dialogue and cooperation to address grievances and effect positive change. NAN urges all Nigerians to reject violence and engage in constructive conversations to find solutions to challenges.

Lastly, the Northern Awareness Network condemns Solomon Dalung's incendiary comments and urges all Nigerians to reject calls for violence and embrace peaceful means of expressing dissent.
