PDP's Desperate Claims Exposed: Plateau State Chapter

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Plateau State Chapter has responded to the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) recent claims of mass defections from the APC, describing it as a "tacit reaction" and "hysterical thinking".

In a press statement, the APC stated that the PDP's claims are a desperate attempt to justify a premeditated outcome in the forthcoming local government elections.

The APC accused the PDP of trying to skew the electoral process, citing the lackluster performance of the PDP government and the absence of tangible projects in the local government areas despite huge federal allocations.

The APC also highlighted the internal conflicts within the PDP, particularly in local government areas such as Shendam, Wase, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos South, and Mikang, which it believes makes the APC the party to beat in the upcoming elections.

The statement, signed by Shittu Bamaiyi, Acting Publicity Secretary, concluded that the PDP's claims are self-serving and misleading, and urged the party to wake up to reality.

This development comes as the APC had earlier called for a level playing ground in the forthcoming local government elections, prompting the PDP's reaction.

The electoral process is expected to be closely watched, given the tensions between the two parties.
