APC Releases Timetable for Forthcoming Local Government Elections in Plateau State

Jos, Plateau State - The All Progressives Congress (APC) Plateau State Chapter has released a timetable in preparation for the forthcoming local government elections.


According to the statement, the submission of completed forms and screening of prospective chairmanship candidates will take place on Monday, August 5th, at the party's headquarters, Kalwa House. The screening of councillorship candidates will simultaneously take place in the senatorial zones on the same day.


Appeals arising from the screening exercises will be heard on Tuesday, August 6th, at the party's headquarters in Jos.


Primaries for the councillorship and the election of five ad-hoc delegates will hold on Wednesday, August 7th, at the various ward headquarters by 10 am.


The chairmanship primaries will take place on Thursday, August 8th, at the various headquarters of the 17 local government areas of the state.


The party has assured its supporters and aspiring candidates of a level playing ground and free and fair elections.


The timetable is as follows:


- Monday, August 5th: Submission of completed forms and screening of chairmanship candidates at Kalwa House; screening of councillorship candidates in senatorial zones.

- Tuesday, August 6th: Appeals arising from screening exercises at Kalwa House.

- Wednesday, August 7th: Primaries for councillorship and election of five ad-hoc delegates at ward headquarters.

- Thursday, August 8th: Chairmanship primaries at local government headquarters.
