Plateau State Government Eases Curfew Restrictions in Jos-Bukuru Metropolis

The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, citing improved security and commendable resident conduct.

 A statement signed by the Director Press and Public Affairs to the Plateau State Governor, Gyang Bere said, effective Saturday, August 10, 2024, residents are now allowed to conduct their daily activities between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, until further notice.

This decision was made by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, following consultations with security agencies. The adjustment aims to support economic activities while maintaining public order.

Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their patriotism and cooperation during challenging times. 

He praised security personnel for their dedication and commitment to enforcing the curfew.

The Governor urged residents to continue collaborating with security agencies to ensure safety and contribute to building a united and prosperous state.

This development marks a significant step towards restoring normalcy in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, following previous security concerns.
