Plateau State Government Relaxes Curfew on Jos-Bukuru Metropolis

The Plateau State Government has announced a relaxation of the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jos-Bukuru metropolis, effective from Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Residents can now move freely between 2pm and 6pm daily until further notice.

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang made the announcement after


consulting with security agencies, praising them for their diligence in maintaining order. 

He emphasized the need for continued vigilance and cooperation from residents to prevent any potential breakdown of law and order.

The governor assured the public of the government's commitment to their safety and well-being, commending residents for their patriotism in observing the curfew. 

He urged them to report any suspicious activities to security personnel for prompt action.

The relaxation of the curfew follows an improvement in the security situation in the area. 

The government will continue to review the curfew as the situation improves.
