Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has urged the beneficiaries of Presidential Grown and Loans Scheme for Nano Micro Small and Medium Enterprises NMSME from the state to make judicious use of the funds.
The Governor made the call through his Special Adviser, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Tanko at a special occasion for the beneficiaries of the Grants and Loans, held in Kaduna.
He noted that the scheme is aimed at boosting business, entrepreneurship and investment amongst small and medium scale business operators.
Governor Sani enjoined the beneficiaries of the programme to adhere strictly to laid down rules stipulated for the beneficiaries to achieved positive.
According to him apart from improving business and commercial activities, the Of Presidential Grants and Loans would equally help in job creation amongst our people Trough investment and skills acquisition. In a remark Mrs Joy who represented the Manager Bank of Industry, described the Scheme as timely towards enhancing entrepreneurs development and socio economic progress.
She extoled the virtues of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for introducing such a laudable scheme target at enhancing small and medium scale businesses in the country.
Also in the event during speaking with Media, the Kaduna State Coordinator and Manager, SMEDAN, Alhaji Badamasi Ya’u Barau, said one of the objectives of the Presidential Grants and Loans Scheme was to boost businesses and to reduce poverty among the people.
He assured of effective collaboration with the Bank of Industry to achieve these target of the scheme in Kaduna State.
Alhaji Badamasi explained that Seventy Five billion Naira (N75,000,000,0000.00) has been set aside for disbursement for business operators under the NMSME Scheme to enhance their businesses.
In his contribution the renowned economist, Idris Shu’aibu Mikalu, also lauded President Tinubu for the scheme, but noted that the Seventy Five Billion Naira set aside for the programme needs to be upwardly reviewed to the tune of about Five Hundred Billion Naira to be able to capture substantial number of Small and medium operators in the country.
