Kaduna South Local Government Beneficiaries Receive Debit Cards Under Conditional Cash Transfer Programme

In a move to support vulnerable households, the Conditional Cash Transfer programme under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian, Social Development and Natural Disaster has distributed debit cards to beneficiaries in Kaduna South Local Government Secretariat.

Vice Chairman Hon Nehemiah Babakarik, representing Executive Chairman Hon Rayyan Hussain, advised beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously. Programme Manager Haj. Hauwa Abdulrazaq explained that the distributed debit cards will enable beneficiaries to access the allocated funds after activation.

Each beneficiary is set to receive N50,000, covering two months, with arrangements in place to address any short payments. Beneficiaries will need to pay N2,000 for card activation. The programme aims to support poor and vulnerable households, improving consumption, reducing poverty, and enhancing resilience against economic shocks.

This initiative is part of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), which includes the National Cash Transfer Programme (NCTP). The programme has been designed to provide financial support to targeted poor and vulnerable Nigerian households.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and hope for continued government support to alleviate financial difficulties and economic hardship.
