Sabon Gari Football Coaches Society inaugurated




The Sabon Gari Football Coaches Society has been inaugurated in Kano State. The chairman of the Kano State Football Coaches Chapter, Magistrate Ibrahim Gwadabe, officiated the ceremony, encouraging members to deepen their understanding of the laws of the game.

Magistrate Gwadabe, who also serves as an executive member of the National Coaches Association, stressed that enhancing their knowledge would significantly contribute to the development of football in the area, the state, and the country at large. 

He assured that the state chapter would collaborate closely with the Sabon Gari society to elevate the state’s football standards.

Chief Julius Madu Orji, the chairman of the occasion, pledged continued moral and financial support to help the society achieve its objectives.

In his remarks, Sir Mike Anike, chairman of Sabon Gari Football Management, described the inauguration as timely, given the numerous football competitions scheduled for the 2025 calendar in the Sabon Gari area. 

He expressed gratitude to the Kano State Football Association for their support and cooperation, promising that the management would strive for the overall development of football in the area, state, and country.

Responding on behalf of the executive members, the society’s chairman, Francis Obinwe, called for support and cooperation from local football stakeholders to restore Sabon Gari’s reputation in the state’s football scene. Obinwe, a former national football player, outlined the society’s plans to enroll members in various coaching courses within and outside the state to enhance their coaching skills.

The event featured the presentation of certificates to the newly inaugurated executive members. Notable attendees included former Raccah Rovers Football Club captain Husseini Alabi and his teammate Idris Musa, among others.
