Kaduna State Mini Beach Soccer Tournament Unearths Hidden Talents, Sets Stage for National League Glory

 

Chairman of Kaduna State Beach Soccer Association and President Nigeria Volleyball Federation Engr Musa Nimrod has said the three-day Kaduna State Mini Beach Soccer Tournament has unraveled some talents for the development of the game. Speaking shortly after presenting cash prizes to the winners and runners-up of the competition, Nimrod said this is in preparation towards the National Beach Soccer League. "We are going to prepare well to win the National Beach Soccer league (NBSL) this season, after missing two years in a row."


The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation also commended the organizers of the tournament for a job well done. He praised their dedication and hard work, which ensured the success of the event.


Engr Nimrod thanked the participating teams for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship. He encouraged them to continue developing their skills, as beach soccer has a lot to offer in terms of opportunities and exposure.


The Chairman of the Kaduna State Beach Soccer Association acknowledged the support of sponsors and stakeholders, whose contributions made the tournament possible. 


As the curtains fell on the Kaduna State Mini Beach Soccer Tournament, Engr Nimrod reiterated his commitment to the growth and development of beach soccer in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large. He expressed optimism about the future of the sport, noting that it has the potential to produce players who will make the country proud on the global stage.  


“Beach soccer is more than just a game; it is a platform for nurturing talent, fostering unity, and promoting healthy competition. I am confident that with the right support and dedication, the sport will continue to thrive, and Nigeria will soon become a force to reckon with in the international beach soccer community,” Nimrod concluded. 


At the end of the tournament, Sidsport BSC successfully defended their title, maintaining an unbeaten record throughout the competition. Young Brazil emerged as runners-up, while Barnawa BSC and Unguwan Sarki BSC secured third and fourth positions, respectively.


The tournament has undoubtedly set the stage for an exciting season ahead, as teams prepare to compete in the National Beach Soccer League
