In a landmark collaboration aimed at fostering economic independence and skill acquisition, Supreme Family Entertainment, in partnership with the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, FSI, is set to launch a comprehensive training and empowerment program for 1000 women in Abuja. The initiative, scheduled to take place from Thursday, February 27th to Saturday, March 1st, 2025, promises to equip participants with practical skills in a variety of high-demand trades.

The training program boasts a diverse curriculum, encompassing practical skills designed to enable women to establish sustainable businesses. Participants will receive instruction in soap making, perfume production, vaseline manufacturing, and the creation of once (a local snack). Additionally, the initiative will cover the artistic crafts of throw pillow design and sax (presumably bag/pouch) making, alongside beauty-focused training in makeup and turban tying. Culinary skills will also be a major focus, with expert guidance offered in catering, particularly in the preparation of party rice and other culinary specialties.

The driving force behind this initiative, Amb. Dr. Joyce Matthew Andrew, CED SFEII, has emphasized the importance of empowering women to become active contributors to the nation's economy. Her commitment to providing women with the tools and knowledge necessary for self-sufficiency is central to the program's objectives. The partnership with Supreme Family Entertainment, further amplifies the reach and impact of this ambitious project.

The venue for this transformative event will be the Copa Copana Gardens, located at Wumba Junction, Apo, Abuja. Training sessions are scheduled to commence daily at 2:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for participants to engage in hands-on learning and practical application of their newfound skills. The location was chosen for its accessibility and suitability for hosting large-scale training events.

Amb. Dr. Joyce Matthew Andrew, CED SFEII, explained the significance of providing women with tangible skills that can translate into immediate economic benefits.

She stressed that this initiative goes beyond mere training, aiming to create a ripple effect of empowerment that will positively impact families and communities.

The partnership between Supreme Family Entertainment and the Ministry of Women Affairs underscores a shared commitment to sustainable development and gender equality.

The selection of skills offered in the program reflects a strategic approach to addressing the current market demands and creating viable income-generating opportunities for women. From the essential household items like soap and vaseline to the more specialized skills in catering and beauty, the curriculum is designed to cater to a wide range of interests and entrepreneurial aspirations.

By providing access to these skills, the initiative aims to break down barriers to economic participation and create a pathway for women to achieve financial independence.

This collaborative effort represents a significant step towards realizing the vision of a more inclusive and equitable society. The combined resources and expertise of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Supreme Family Entertainment promise to deliver a transformative experience for the 1000 women participating in this empowerment program.

The impact of this initiative is expected to extend far beyond the training period, creating lasting opportunities for women to thrive and contribute to the economic growth of their communities.
